"A Loose Confederation" (Chp. 7.1)

Objectives for Today

• You will be able to define "constitution."


• You will be able to explain why state governments wrote constitutions.


• You will be able to list the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.


• You will be able to discuss why many americans called for changes in the Articles


• You will be able to identify fundamental liberties the Bill of Rights protects in American society.

Agenda for Today

1. You will be given 8 minutes to study for the test today.


2. Mr. Duncan will take questions for 3 minutes.


3. We will do a simple mind exercise to prepare for the test.


4. You will take a test on Chp. 7.1 and the Bill of Rights.
